The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority, or NCAA, has authorized Enugu Air to begin domestic flight operations, only hours after the Enugu State Government showcased its new fleet.
The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development’s 5-Point Agenda, which aims to support the expansion of domestic carriers, was the deciding factor in the NCAA’s acceptance.
The motto is to improve ease of doing business and strengthen sectoral reforms, according to a statement made by Michael Achimugu, Director of Public Affairs and Consumer Protection.
In anticipation of the completion of its Air Operator Certificate (AOC) procedure, Enugu Air has picked XEJET as its operational partner.
In line with the NCAA’s five-phase certification process, XEJET has finished a comprehensive variant process to incorporate the EMB 170 aircraft into its Operations Specifications (OpsSpecs) as a result of this collaboration. According to the most recent NCAA regulations, XEJET is therefore properly authorized to run scheduled commercial flights on behalf of Enugu Air.
Achimugu claims that the XEJET platform, which can be accessed by redirecting to the official Enugu Air website, is used to sell airline tickets.According to him, NCAA is still dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of safety, security, and consumer protection in Nigeria’s aviation sector, fostering a regulatory environment that is favorable to domestic airlines, and guaranteeing fair competition.
