Emanuel Emegha, a target for Chelsea, has opted to commit to the Netherlands national team instead of Nigeria and Togo.
The 22-year-old currently playing for Strasbourg is eligible to represent the Netherlands, his country of birth, as well as Nigeria and Togo through his parents.
However, Emegha expressed confidence that he will have an impact at the senior level with the Dutch team.
In an interview with SUPERGAANDE’s YouTube channel, the forward discussed his ambitions at the senior international level.
Emegha stated: “I am one hundred percent convinced that I can make a difference for Oranje. My style of play as a striker differs from that of the others.
„Ich mache bei niemandem Abstriche, jeder ist gut. „Ich habe Respekt vor allen“, fügte er hinzu.
In 27 matches during the 2024/25 French Ligue 1 season, Emegha netted 14 goals and delivered 3 assists.
