In Kano State’s Bunkure Local Government Area, an unexpected windstorm has caused chaos, uprooting multiple families and leaving a path of devastation in its wake.
Sakafalle-Jalabi and Zangon Buhari, two settlements in Kulluwa ward, were impacted by the tragedy, which happened on Monday.
According to reports, the strong wind tore through the hamlet, tearing off roofing sheets and demolishing structures.
Labaran Garba, the Bunkure Local Government’s Information Officer, verified the news on Wednesday, stating that while there were no fatalities, there was significant property damage.
To enable the proper intervention, Alhaji Isa Umar, the Emir of Rano, has ordered that a thorough report be prepared and sent to the local government council.
The precise number of impacted households has not yet been established, though, as of the time this report was filed.
