According to the DAILY POST, Ademola Lookman will go through medical testing on Monday (today) to determine the extent of the damage he suffered during Atletico Madrid’s Copa del Rey final loss to Real Sociedad.
Lookman, who was on target for Atletico during the match, was replaced in the 62nd minute due to what has been determined to be an adductor issue.
Alexander Sorloth and Marca Marcos Lorente were also hit during the game, according to a well-known Spanish publication.
With the team still vying for the UEFA Champions League championship, Atletico Madrid will be hoping the Nigerian international avoids a major injury.
Later this month, the Red and Whites will play Arsenal in the semi-final.
During the winter transfer window, Lookman left Serie A team Atalanta to join Diego Simeone’s team.
The 28-year-old has already made 18 appearances for Atletico in all competitions, tallying seven goals and four assists.
