Leading NPFL clubs commence pre-season activities for the 2025/26 season

Several top clubs in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) have begun training in anticipation of the start of the 2025/2026 season in August.

On Friday, June 20, Enyimba resumed training at the Enyimba International Stadium in Aba.

The club’s Sporting Director, Ifeanyi Ekwueme, had issued a directive for all players and officials to follow the schedule without exception.
After finishing last season in sixth place with 55 points and missing out on continental football, the ‘People’s Elephant’ will be looking to make a comeback.
Rivers United have also begun their preparations with Technical Manager Finidi George.

At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt, twenty-five players arrived at camp and were greeted warmly by Finidi and his coaching staff.
