Ademola Lookman has confessed the decision to switch allegiance from England to Nigeria has helped shape his career.
Lookman, 27 years old, is of Nigerian descent and was born in England.
The Atalanta winger played for England at the U-19, U-20, and U-21 levels.
In 2022, the player who used to play for Leicester City made his senior debut for Nigeria against their age-old rivals, the Black Stars of Ghana.
As the Super Eagles secured second place at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Cote d’Ivoire, Lookman netted three goals and provided one assist.
Last December, in Marrakech, Morocco, he received the title of Africa’s best player.
In an interview with ARISE TV, Lookman stated, “Without doubt, it changed my career and my life.”
