Luis Castro, who previously coached Al-Nassr, has emphasized that captain Cristiano Ronaldo has not suggested he plans to leave the club in the Saudi Pro Lig.
According to Castro, the “new chapter is closed” post that Ronaldo shared on his social media pertains to the season and does not indicate his departure from Al-Nassr for another club.
Following his team’s 3-2 loss to Al-Fateh in their final Saudi Pro Lig match of the season earlier this week, Ronaldo suggested that his time at Al-Nassr is “over.”
Castro, however, addressed the media regarding Ronaldo’s post and clarified that the Portugal international was merely indicating the end of the season, not referencing his tenure at Al Nassr.
Castro stated (through The Nassr Zone): “Every season that concludes resembles a closed cycle. That is my perspective.
“My view and interpretation differ from those of many others. A chapter is closed; the football season has concluded. We will begin a new one.
A few years ago, Ronaldo transferred to Al-Nassr after the termination of his contract with Manchester United.
