Eric Chelle, head coach of the Super Eagles, has praised the performance of home-based players in his team’s 2-1 win against the Black Stars of Ghana.
In his starting line-up, Chelle chose three local players: Sodiq Ismail, Papa Daniel, and Sikiru Alimi.
While Ismail assisted Dessers for the first goal, Daniel and Alimi also delivered commendable performances in the exciting match.
The Malian assessed that the players possess good qualities and emphasized the importance of providing them with a chance to represent the team.
“These players possess certain qualities,” Chelle remarked during his media interaction.
„Meine Aufgabe ist es, Analysen durchzuführen. It is my work to make some decisions. If I’m mistaken, then I bear responsibility. The truth is, I want to offer these guys a few opportunities. I need to include some players in my team who can contribute, as we have to win.
In the final of the invitational tournament on Saturday, the Super Eagles will take on Jamaica.
