According to the DAILY POST, seasoned strategist Abdu Maikaba will take over as the Flying Eagles’ next head coach.
Aliyu Zubairu will be replaced by Maikaba, a reputable local coach in Nigeria.
The Flying Eagles advanced to the second round of the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile last year under Zubairu, who is currently in charge of Telecom SC, Egypt’s second division team.
Maikaba was Paul Aigbogun’s assistant coach for the Flying Eagles.
He most recently served as head coach of the Wikki Tourists, a team in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL).
Additionally, Maikaba has managed Akwa United, Rangers, and Kano Pillars.
