The MakTown Flyers, Nigeria’s representatives at the forthcoming Basketball Africa League (BAL) Championship in Morocco, have been challenged to give it their all in order to represent their nation with pride.
Igoche Mark, a prominent club supporter and basketball promoter who spent the weekend at the team’s camp in Abuja, emphasized the necessity for the players to step up their efforts.
Additionally, he pledged to keep helping the club as they pursue success in North Africa.
“Technically, we are strong, and I believe we should work harder and show the world that we are resilient, strong, and unwavering.
“We will take all necessary steps to guarantee your comfort. It’s a two-way street; I’m assuring you that each of us has a role to play, and you should do the same,” he continued.
Mark showed faith in the team’s capabilities and stated that he would personally attend the final to support the team.
I will personally accompany you to Morocco to demonstrate my support, and I am confident that this team will make us, Nigeria, and Maktown Flyers proud.
Bright Akuiete, the team captain, praised Mark for his unwavering support and pledged that the team will not fail the nation.
Under the guidance of seasoned coach AbduRahman Muhammad, MakTown Flyers won the Nigeria Basketball League in 2025 after defeating Rivers Hoopers to secure the BAL ticket.
