Manchester City defeated Chelsea 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Sunday, reigniting the English Premier League title chase.
Arsenal’s home loss to Bournemouth on Saturday gave Pep Guardiola’s team a legitimate path back into the title race, and the Cityzens capitalized on the Gunners’ error with a pivotal victory over Liam Rosenior’s disorganized squad.
The heroes of the day for the blue side of Manchester were Nico O’Rilley, Marc Guehi, and Jeremy Doku. They put on a masterful second half against the costly-assembled Blues.
The first half’s main talking point was Marc Cucurella’s offside goal, but O’Riley’s header—the fullback’s fifth of the season—started an exciting second half. Ryan Cherki’s cross on minute fifty-one put the visitors ahead.
Six minutes later, Cherki set up Guehi in the box after a corner routine, and the England defender scored a low effort to double City’s lead.
