After an old video of Nollywood actress Mercy Johnson-Okojie talking about a cancer scare became viral online, she addressed health concerns.
According to Naija News, the actress talked about her health issues and unexpected weight loss in a conversation with her senior coworker Joke Silva in the clip from her Mercy’s Menu TV show.
Mercy disclosed that she had a cancer scare and that she had surgery to remove her thyroid because her physicians believed a tumor on it was malignant.
Nevertheless, some admirers began praying and wishing the movie star well after mistaking the video for news that she had cancer.
Mercy Okojie responded on Tuesday by stating in a video posted to her Instagram page that she does not have cancer.
“Thank you to everyone who has been calling and sending messages and prayers,” she stated. I’m really grateful, but I’m not cancerous.
“An excerpt from my television program, Mercy’s Menu, has been making the rounds, and I believe it was chopped. “I had a cancer scare,” I said. If you can see the line there, it indicates that I have swelling on my neck, which my physicians thought was significant. I experienced thyroid issues.I’m doing just fine. I sincerely appreciate all of your calls and texts. I don’t have cancer, and I’m doing great.
