Aruna Quadri, the poster child of Nigerian table tennis, lost his long-standing position as Africa’s top player in the most recent February world rankings, which were made public on Tuesday by the International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF). With 875 ranking points, Quadri is currently ranked 34th in the world, only behind Omar Assar of Egypt, who rose to 33rd with 976 points to recover the top spot on the continent.
