After the Super Eagles player made a powerful impression with his debut start on Sunday, Marseille supporters are certain that youthful midfielder Tochukwu Nnadi should have been a starter for a few weeks.
Coach Habib Beye gave Nnadi, who was signed in January for €6 million, his debut start against Nice, and the youthful player did not disappoint, assisting Marseille’s goal in a 1-1 draw.
In the first half, as Marseille was under increasing pressure, the 22-year-old Nigerian whipped in a cross that Pierre-Emile Højbjerg finished with a diving header for the Dane’s first league goal since November 2025.
Nnadi had only played 36 minutes in four games prior to Sunday, but his influence was clear. He made 69 touches in 80 minutes, including three passes into the box, two crucial passes, and thirteen into the final third. He had two shots as well.
