33,530 women have received financial education, business, gender, and life skills training and empowerment from the Ogun State Government.
According to Motunrayo Adijat Adeleye, Commissioner for Women Affairs and Social Development, the Ogun State Women Empowerment Scheme (Okoowo Dapo) gave the women more influence.
She gave a speech during the third phase workshop for 150 recently hired Oko’wo Dapo ward facilitators in Abeokuta. She claims that the plan was intended as a calculated social intervention to encourage women’s involvement in the economy.

According to Adeleye, since its launch in 2022, the program has given thousands of women in our 20 LGAs a hand of hope and the means to become self-sufficient, opening doors that have transformed modest ideas into successful businesses.
