Horvel Prime Nyanya have claimed victory in the 17th annual One Big Family Football Tournament.
The One Big Family (IBF) Tournament, established by football fan Mr. Sheyi Taiwo, is an annual grassroots event designed to foster unity, nurture talent, and encourage sportsmanship among local clubs in Nyanya and the surrounding areasHorvel Prime secured the trophy by narrowly defeating Future Guarantee FC Old-Karu 2-1 in a final match on Sunday, July 20, at the well-known Nyanya Mobile Police Junction stadiumIn order to arrange the ultimate clash, Future Guarantee triumphed over Ramsaky FC Nyanya with a score of 2-1, while Horvel Prime, who would go on to claim victory in the tournament, dominated Virtual FC Nyanya 4-2 in another semi-final. The tournament’s 17th edition included 40 grassroots clubs and demonstrated competitive football along with a high standard of discipline and organization throughout the matches. At the conclusion of the tournament, Horvel Prime FC, the winners, received a cash prize of N500,000 and a large trophy; Future Guarantee, as first runners-up, received N300,000; and Ramsaky FC was awarded N200,000 for their third-place finish.
