Opay, a financial technology company, has improved user security by implementing a new feature called location guard. At the company’s OPay Security Vote Challenge grand finals in Lagos, the new functionality was announced. The new security feature, according to Elizabeth Wang, the company’s chief commercial officer, was designed to track the location of fraudulent actions. Smart location tracking is used by the state-of-the-art Location Guard technology to identify and stop possibly fraudulent conduct. “Location Guard adds an intelligent extra layer of protection by instantly prompting Face ID verification if a transaction attempt is made from an unusual location,” she said. The new feature, which she described as the eighth addition to the firm’s security features, emphasized that the company has strengthened its security with seven elements. “OPay’s fundamental principle is always the customer, and security is our top priority for our clients. We thus developed seven security features, the eighth of which is location guard, and we will keep creating more for our clients in order to safeguard them in any situation where they want protection,” she stated. “Location Guard is a leap forward in digital protection,” Elizabeth continued. It is proactive, clever, and based on actual user behavior. Our users’ OPay accounts safely follow them wherever they go.
