Kylian Mbappe, the captain of France, demanded 240 million euros ($278 million) in damages from Paris Saint-Germain on Monday in a growing legal battle over the terms of his contract and the treatment he received from his former team. In Paris’ labor court, PSG countersued Mbappe, who joined Real Madrid last year, for 180 million euros, citing a failed 300 million euro trade to Saudi club Al Hilal that the player turned down. The 26-year-old Mbappe first complained about PSG’s treatment of him at the beginning of the 2023–2024 season in June.
