Real Madrid has responded to the passing of Romania’s national head coach, Mircea Lucescu.
Lucescu passed away on Tuesday at the age of 80, according to the DAILY POST.
During his lifetime, Lucescu coached a number of clubs throughout Europe, including Inter Milan and Galatasaray.
In response, Real Madrid expressed sympathy for Lucescu’s passing and wished him “rest in peace” in a statement posted on their website.
A portion of Real Madrid’s statement said, “Real Madrid C.F., its president, and its Board of Directors deeply regret the passing of Mircea Lucescu, who was the national coach of Romania and Turkey.”
“Real Madrid would like to offer its condolences, love, and devotion to his family, clubs, coworkers, and all of his loved ones. May you rest in peace.
