After defeating Sporting CP on Tuesday, Arsenal broke a record in the UEFA Champions League.
In the first leg of the Champions League quarterfinal in Lisbon, the Premier League leaders defeated Sporting 1-0.
The Gunners have a first-leg advantage ahead of next week’s return match at the Emirates Stadium thanks to a late stoppage-time goal from Kai Havertz.
But according to OptaJoe, Arsenal has had more goal involvements by replacements in all competitions this season (24 goals, 14 assists) than any other team in Europe’s top five leagues thanks to the victory over Sporting.
Arsenal also remains the only undefeated team in the Champions League so far this season.
This weekend, Mikel Arteta’s team will play their next Premier League match against Bournemouth.
