Armed bandits attacked the Birnin Zauma hamlet in Zamfara State’s Bukkuyum Local Government Area on Tuesday night, killing many people and injuring others.
During the assault, valuables were also taken by the attackers.
Bakatsine, a security analyst, posted this on his X handle on Tuesday.
“Bandits attacked Birnin Zauma community in Bukkuyum LGA, Zamfara State, this evening,” he wrote. During the raid, they stole items and killed and injured a number of people.
Since the authorities have not yet issued an official statement, it is unclear how many people were killed and injured.
