Martin Odegaard, the captain of Arsenal, has come under fire from Paul Scholes, a legend of Manchester United.
The midfielder from Norway is a major issue for Arsenal, according to Scholes, who also noted that he hasn’t performed well in his role this year.
“That game on Saturday [Arsenal vs. Newcastle], I didn’t see all of it, I probably saw the first half hour, but I think Odegaard is a big problem for them,” Scholes stated in reference to Odegaard’s difficulties during the most recent episode of The Overlap Fan Debate.
I think Odegaard is wonderful, and I adore him. He’s excellent technically, but he doesn’t play his position well.
“He was nearly the deepest man half the time I saw him in the first twenty minutes.”
