Serie A: Fabregas takes on a shocking role as Inter Milan’s manager, succeeding Inzaghi

Inter Milan have contacted Como to inquire about Cesc Fabregas as a potential replacement for manager Simone Inzaghi.

Inzaghi confirmed his departure from San Siro on Monday, following their defeat to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final.

Inter have now turned their attentions to his replacement and appear keen on Fabregas.

As reported by La Gazzetta dello Sport, discussions regarding their young manager have also taken place with Como.

Additionally, the Nerazurri are considering former defender Cristian Chivu and Patrick Viera, who previously managed Crystal Palace.

However, it is thought that Fabregas is their main focus. The ex-midfielder shares the same regard for the club and spoke with president Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio.

The situation is complicated by the fact that he is both the coach of Como and a part-owner of the club, having already turned down approaches from Bayer Leverkusen and Roma.
