The FIFA World Cup 2026 official theme song, which is a joint effort by Nigerian Afrobeats singer Burna Boy, has been hinted to by Colombian diva Shakira.
Shakira, who has worked with FIFA on World Cup theme songs in the past, posted a sneak peek of the 2026 tournament music on her X account on Thursday.
Her post claims that the song, “Dai Dai,” is a joint effort with Afrobeats musician Burna Boy.
It also revealed that the entire song will be made available on May 14 in advance of the FIFA competition, which will begin on June 11 with Mexico against South Africa at Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium.

After Davido, who was included in the FIFA World Cup song for Qatar in 2022, Burna Boy is now the second Nigerian musician to perform on an official FIFA World Cup song.
In addition to performing at the 2023 Champions League final in Turkey, Burna Boy previously appeared in a UEFA Champions League theme song alongside Becky G.
It’s unknown if he will play at the 2026 FIFA World Cup final on July 19 at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey or the opening ceremony in Mexico City.
