Nigeria has been retaliated against by the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), which says that Nigeria is trying to get into the 2026 FIFA World Cup by any means possible. In last month’s African playoff final in Rabat, the Leopards defeated Nigeria 4-3 on penalties. Due to their fielding of multiple ineligible players, the Nigeria Football Federation, or NFF, has filed a petition to be disqualified from the World Cup. DRC has now made a forceful statement in response to the petition.
