Governor Dauda Lawal has received praise from General Christopher Musa (retd.), Minister of Defense, for acquiring armored personnel carriers, surveillance drones, and operating equipment for troops in Zamfara State. At a ceremony on Wednesday at Government House in Gusau, the governor gave troops armored vehicles and other operational gear.Sulaiman Bala Idris, the governor’s spokesperson, said in a statement that the 25 extremely advanced armored personnel carriers will improve the safety of troops when they are deployed into high-risk regions throughout Zamfara. According to the statement, the Zamfara State Government has also acquired other equipment, such as an 80-meter endurance surveillance drone that can go 50 kilometers and run nonstop for eight hours.
