The idea that the government shouldn’t be involved in promoting economic growth in Nigeria has been rejected by Dr. Armstrong Takang, Managing Director and CEO of the Ministry of Finance Incorporated (MOFI). He claimed that governments at all levels are essential to a country’s progress and called this viewpoint a fallacy.During the MOFI Excellence Awards’ official launch and panelists’ inauguration on Wednesday in Abuja, he said these things. Takang emphasized that nations like China have demonstrated the success of government economic intervention combined with private sector involvement. He underlined that Nigeria should strive for this form of capitalism.
