In a statement, Anthony Chiejina, the company’s spokesperson, said that increasing mechanized farming is still essential to increasing Nigeria’s GDP and providing significant job possibilities for the nation’s swelling youth population.According to him, the company’s recent push into commercial agriculture is in line with national initiatives to improve food security. This year’s topic, “Employing Smallholder Farmers: Restoring Value, Ensuring Productivity,” is timely and smart, according to Chiejina.He pointed out that Nigeria may achieve economic revitalization, job creation, and market stability by reestablishing the value of agriculture. Long considered a major event in the nation’s agricultural calendar, the National Agricultural Show offers a stage for showcasing innovation throughout the whole value chain. The Dangote Group is building rice mills with a combined annual milling capacity of 1.5 million tonnes in the states of Kano, Jigawa, Niger, Kebbi, and Sokoto as part of its agricultural initiatives. This endeavor is in line with the federal government’s goal of attaining food security.
