Legendary Liverpool player Steven Gerrard has encouraged Mikel Arteta, the manager of Arsenal, to start Eberechi Eze and Bukayo Saka against Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League semifinal match next week.
Eze and Saka were not started by Arteta during Wednesday’s 1-1 draw between the Gunners and Atletico Madrid in the first leg.
After goals from Julian Alvarez and Viktor Gyokeres decided the draw in the second half of the match, the England internationals were called in.
You need to get Eze on the field for the second leg, Gerrard told TNT Sports.
“He seems a little bit more dangerous to me, and I think he gives Arsenal a little bit more spark.”
