UCL: Rafa Benitez forecasts the quarterfinal matchup between Real Madrid and Arsenal

Rafa Benitez, the former manager of Chelsea and Liverpool, has made a prediction regarding Wednesday’s Champions League matchup between Real Madrid and Arsenal.

With a 3-0 lead from the first leg of the quarterfinal match, the Gunners head to Spain.

Benitez acknowledged that the La Liga champions’ return would “be difficult.”

“A Real Madrid vs. Arsenal comeback will be difficult because Arsenal is strong,” he stated.

“Everything gets more tricky if Arsenal scores, even though the Bernabéu is a different affair.

“However, I secretly hope Real Madrid wins and advances.”

Between July 2025 until January 2026, Benitez was Real Madrid’s manager.

During his brief tenure, the Spaniard managed just 25 games before Florentino Perez fired him.
