Vinicius is left out of Brazil’s squad by Ancelotti for the World Cup qualifying tournament

Vinicius Junior will not be called up by Brazilian national team coach Arlo Ancelotti for his team’s 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Chile and Bolivia, respectively.

On September 5 and 10, Brazil will play Chile and Bolivia in the World Cup qualifying round.

Ancelotti wants the Real Madrid winger to relax in Madrid because Vinicius is already suspended for the match against Chile.

The 25-year-old should not fly to Bolivia for a single game, according to Ancelotti.

In the CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying group, Ancelotti’s team is in third place, behind Argentina in first and Ecuador in second.

Brazil is coming off a 1-0 victory over Paraguay in their most recent World Cup qualifying match in June.

To increase their prospects of making it to the World Cup, they will aim to defeat Chile.
