Nigeria finished first in Group B of the current Women’s Africa Cup of Nations group stage.
This comes after Algeria defeated Botswana by a slim margin of 1-0 on Sunday.
The North Africans won thanks to a goal from Ghoutia Karchouni in the tenth minute.
On July 10, Algeria will play their second group match against Tunisia.
Earlier on Sunday, a powerful Super Falcons team crushed the Tunisians 3-0.
Chiwendu Ihezuo, Rinsola Babajide, and Asisat Oshoala all scored goals for the nine-time winners.
The Falcons have three points as a result of these outcomes, although they have a better goal differential than Algeria.
Tunisia is at the bottom, and Botswana is in third place.
