2027: ADC not for sale, will run presidential candidate, Kachikwu

Former African Democratic Congress, ADC, presidential candidate Dumebi Kachikwu has stated that the party is not for sale and that it will run a presidential candidate in next year’s general elections.

Kachikwu made the statement to journalists in Abuja on Wednesday.

He was responding to the decision that banned the Independent National Electoral Commission, or INEC, from recognizing any congresses held by the David Mark-led leadership.

He referred to the nullification of conventions by the Federal High Court in Abuja as “kangaroo congresses and conventions.”

According to him, the effort was blocked by a recent court decision on factional congresses.

He stated that the court’s judgment justified his long-standing warning that some individuals were intent on hijacking the party for personal gain.

He stated, “The ADC is not for sale.” Our party will run a presidential candidate in the 2027 general election.

“Those who tried to hijack our party have been shown the way out through the same back door they came in.”
