The House of Representatives Primary Election for the 2027 general elections has been moved to Saturday, May 16, 2026, by the All Progressives Congress, or APC.
Felix Morka, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, made this claim in a statement on Thursday.
The Senate, state houses of assembly, governorship, and presidential primary election dates that were previously set have not changed, according to Morka.
The statement states that the primary elections will now take place as follows:
House of Representatives, Saturday, May 16, 2026
Senate: Monday, May 18, 2026
State House of Assembly, Wednesday, May 20, 2026
Governorship: Thursday, May 21, 2026
Presidential: May 23, 2026, Saturday.
