Kano State APC leaders endorsed President Bola Ahmed Tinubu as the party’s only presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
This declaration occurred after a three-day stakeholders’ meeting at the home of former National Chairman and Kano APC leader, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, attended by representatives from all 44 local government areas and 484 wards in the state.
Umar Idris Shuaibu, a Kano APC leader, called the gathering a “strategic demonstration of unity and preparedness,” emphasizing Ganduje’s role in strengthening party structure and unity at the local level.
Shuaibu stated that Kano strongly supports Tinubu, adding that Ganduje has ensured the APC is disciplined, cohesive, and mobilized.
The meeting concluded with a resolution to maintain coordination across wards, fortify party offices, and prepare for upcoming elections. Ganduje reportedly directed that all local government and ward offices stay active to welcome new members defecting from other parties.
