250,000 Lives Were Affected by US Funding Cut in Yobe—Government

During a breakfast show that our correspondent watched, Dr. Muhammad Goje, the Executive Secretary of the Yobe State Emergency Management Agency (YOSEMA), announced this.The United States has been the biggest and most reliable donor to humanitarian efforts in Borno, Adamawa, and Yobe states in Northeast Nigeria for over ten years, he said, providing life-saving food assistance, nutrition, healthcare, protection services, and support for displaced families. More than 250,000 people in Yobe State have been directly impacted by the US funding suspension, Goje said, adding that the new financing posture has compelled humanitarian organizations to either withdraw completely, compete for few resources, or combine operations.
