Southwest Airlines and United Nigeria Airlines have inked an aircraft sale and purchase agreement for the delivery of six Boeing 737-800 aircraft. According to the airline, this significant acquisition and fleet expansion ushers in a new era in United Nigeria Airlines’ growth and strategic plan.The purchase was mediated in collaboration with SkyWorks Holdings, LLC.According to the airline’s release from yesterday, it would help United Nigeria expand its domestic, regional, and international operations, improve capacity and efficiency, and fortify Nigeria’s position as a global aviation leader.
The 737-800’s remarkable fuel efficiency, which comes from its sophisticated aerodynamics and effective engines, drastically lowers operating expenses and lessens its environmental effect.
Its versatile range of approximately 2,935 nautical miles will allow United Nigeria Airlines to serve both short-haul and medium-haul routes effectively, optimizing our networks. The spacious cabin enhances passenger-comfort with wider seats, larger overhead bins, and improved lighting, accommodating up to 189 passengers in a single-class configuration
