According to a statement from NUPRC’s Head of Media and Strategic Communication, Eniola Akinkuotu, Engineer Gbenga Komolafe, Commission Chief Executive of the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC), Komolafe made the comments during an official visit to Dubai Drydocks World (DDWD) in the United Arab Emirates as part of regulatory oversight of the EMEM Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) vessel’s sail away readiness.According to the release, the EMEM FPSO is being converted at DDWD for Oriental Energy Resources Limited (OERL) and will be deployed to the offshore Nigerian Okwok Field (PML 15), which is run by Oriental Okwok Limited.The Oil and Produced Water Treatment Unit, Gas Injection Modules, Seawater Treatment Facilities, Gas Turbine Generators, Electrical House, LACT Unit, Laboratory, Control Room, and Accommodation Quarters were among the crucial areas Komolafe examined during a four-hour thorough inspection of the ship. The Commission was able to evaluate the project’s quality, compliance, and readiness for sail away thanks to the walkthrough.
