Responding to the selection, Captain Johnson, during a conversation with TVC News on Tuesday evening, stated that Musa returning to duty is a positive step.
He said, “It is a great choice, a choice that is fully deserved. President Tinubu has guaranteed stability in military operations by bringing back the former Chief of Defence Staff now as Minister of Defence.
“He was one of the security heads who put in great effort against the lack of safety that has troubled this nation for ten years now.
“Some of us were disappointed when he ended his service. Nigerian citizens will see improved cooperation between the ministry of defence and the military commanders in charge of operations, including the current Chief of Defence Staff.”
