Palm Sunday attack: Under strict security, the Plateau government arraigns suspects

The state government arraigned four individuals connected to the fatal Palm Sunday attack on the Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area on Thursday at the Plateau State High Court in Jos, which was heavily guarded.

In order to prevent any breakdown of law and order, the suspects were hauled before the court under strict security measures after being detained by the Department of State Services, or DSS, between April 3 and April 10, 2026.

Around 9:20 a.m., the defendants came at the Plateau State High Court of Justice, where security personnel were positioned both inside and outside the building. This marked the start of court proceedings.

Four people involved in the deadly Palm Sunday attack on the Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area were charged by the state government on Thursday before the tightly guarded Plateau State High Court in Jos.

After being held by the Department of State Services, or DSS, between April 3 and April 10, 2026, the suspects were brought before the court under stringent security measures to prevent any breakdown of law and order.

The defendants arrived at the Plateau State High Court of Justice around 9:20 a.m., when security guards were stationed both inside and outside the structure. The court procedures began with this.
