2027: Sam Amadi claims that the majority of party primaries were rigged.

According to Sam Amadi, Director of the Abuja School of Social and Political Thought, the majority of the recent primary elections held by different political parties were rigged.

In an interview with Arise Television, Amadi claimed that the outcomes exacerbated internal strife and undermined party leadership.

He claims that the parties are insufficiently powerful to impose discipline on members and candidates.

The majority of party primaries were rigged. Governors’ influence is important because even some candidates for the House of Representatives were favoured by zoning, but for some reason they were left off the list.

Once more, the organisation of the parties is in disarray, with new members displacing long-standing ones. For instance, in Delta State, Ned Nwoko was overthrown by former governor Ifeanyi Okowa.

“It’s not that players like Nwoko didn’t perform, but some structural changes have dislocated them,” he stated.
