Public Policy Analyst and International Development Expert Abba Kaka urged President Bola Tinubu to address the escalating security crisis and take decisive action to protect Nigerian citizens. Speaking on Arise Television, Kaka warned that rising insecurity and poor governance are severely damaging Nigeria’s global image. He suggested that US President Donald Trump’s recent criticism of the Nigerian government, which involved designating Nigeria as a “Country of Particular Concern” over alleged Christian killings and threatening US military intervention, exposes systemic failures and should serve as a wake-up call for leaders. Kaka also noted that despite the crisis and tarnished image, patriotic Nigerians should rally around the government since they have no other home. He criticized the disregard for human life and insisted that religious differences should not overshadow the scale of the killings.
