The victory of Governor Biodun Oyebanji in the Ekiti State Governorship Election and the party’s outstanding performance in the recent bye-elections across the nation, according to Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, is a clear vote of confidence in the APC, the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Yilwatda said that the results of the elections show that Nigerians are able to distinguish between the long-term advantages of responsible governance, economic restructuring, infrastructure development, and institutional renewal initiatives that the APC at both the federal and state levels.

After winning a resounding victory throughout the state, APC Governor Oyebanji was proclaimed the winner of the Ekiti Governorship Election, confirming the electorate’s faith in both his administration and the party’s progressive agenda. Additionally, the party won five of the six bye-elections that were held in the federation’s various states.
According to Yilwatda’s statement, the Ekiti outcome has reinforced the APC’s claim that, despite challenging economic shifts, performance-based governance is still electorally rewarding.
“The Ekiti election has become a national reference point,” he declared. It demonstrates that citizens react with renewed trust and overwhelming electoral support when governments produce noticeable results in the areas of infrastructure, education, healthcare, agriculture, youth empowerment, security, and social development.

He claimed that by successfully forging a wide-ranging political consensus while keeping a laser-like focus on development outcomes, the administration has created a climate of stability and accelerated progress.
