Due to a technical issue with the baggage screening system, operations at the domestic terminals of Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport were halted on Monday.
Nigeria’s Federal Airports Authority verified the error, however local carriers claimed it interfered with regular processing processes.
Although the additional checks resulted in longer processing times and some departure delays, Air Peace apologized to customers in a statement and noted that alternative screening methods had been implemented to keep planes operating safely.
