In yesterday’s Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) week 15 match at Sani Abacha Stadium in Kano, newly promoted Barau FC defeated seasoned campaigners Kwara United 3-2. Usman Maidubuj gave Barau FC the lead in the 19th minute, Chidera Ezeh tied the score in the 40th, but Muhd Muhad Umar restored Barau’s lead in the seventh minute of first half added time.When play resumed, former junior international JohnMark Aule tied the score for Kwara United in the 49th minute. However, Stanley Oganbor, a former teammate from Lobi Stars, scored the game-winning goal for Barau FC in the first minute of second half added time, giving the Maliya Boys their fourth victory of the season. It’s interesting to note that Oganbor, who won the game for Barau FC, was also named Man of the Match due to his outstanding play.
