Breaking: Bandits kill the vice principal and abduct a number of students during their raid on a girls’ secondary school in Kebbi.

Armed criminal groups recently assaulted the Government Girls Comprehensive Senior Secondary School (GGCSS) in Maga, Danko/Wasagu Local Government Area of Kebbi State, causing widespread alarm throughout the Zuru Emirate.
The late-night attack resulted in the death of the Vice Principal, Malam Hassan Yakubu Makuku, who reportedly tried to protect students, and the kidnapping of multiple students.
The exact count of abducted students is currently unknown because officials have not released formal information.
A local, Murjanatu Hassan Gishiri, validated the event, stating the attackers entered the school without resistance, causing terror and distressing the area.
“This devastating event has plunged the whole area into profound anxiety and sorrow,” she stated sadly.
Residents are continuing to mourn the Vice Principal, described as a committed teacher and guardian of the students.
While security forces have not yet made a public statement regarding the attack, community members are demanding immediate action from state and national governments to save the captured students and stop future violence in schools and unprotected areas throughout the region.
