Despite Trump’s threat, Nigerian stocks decline as eurobonds hold steady.

As markets continue to respond to US President Donald Trump’s latest warning of military action against Nigeria for purported Christian genocide, the Nigeria Stock Market maintained its pessimistic outlook on Tuesday. In reaction to Trump’s threat, stock investors had earlier on Monday registered a loss of over N244.9 billion at the closing of trade on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX).Nigeria’s Eurobonds, sometimes referred to as dollar bonds, experienced a little decline across the maturity curve at the same time. However, a report claims that even though Nigeria intends to sell another $2.3 billion bond, the Eurobonds are stabilizing.
