Speaking about his first encounter with the England international after joining Chelsea from Brighton this summer, Brazilian forward Joao Pedro stated that he believed Cole Palmer, Chelsea’s most valuable player, would feel he was there to take his place when he [Pedro] moved to Stamford Bridge. Pedro has been playing at his best since joining Chelsea in the early stages of the 2025 transfer window.
The Blues won the FIFA Club World Cup trophy thanks in large part to the Brazilian forward.
Pedro told Standard Sport that he had to speak with Palmer since he was originally disturbed by his response to his arrival at Stamford Bridge.
This is due to the fact that Palmer is regarded as Enzo Maresca’s biggest star.
He claimed that in order to assist the Englishman, he had to go up to him and explain that he was at Stamford Bridge.
Cole is a superstar. I was the main person at Brighton, so I was a little afraid about his reaction when I arrived at Chelsea.

On the field, Pedro claimed that he and Palmer now had a wonderful relationship and that they could help Chelsea win more titles.
