According to ship tracking data, Dangote Refinery reached a new milestone in expanding its reach outside of Africa when it shipped its first supply of gasoline to the United States in the latter week of August.
According to trade data from Kpler, Argus reported that on August 26, a Gemini Pearl loaded around 300,000 barrels of gasoline for the United States at Dangote’s Port, with a probable discharge in New York or New Jersey.
The factory had previously exported refined goods to the United States.It demonstrated its increasing position in the global energy market by exporting more than two million barrels of jet fuel to America in March.At the time, six ships were sent to the US ports with about 1.7 million barrels of jet fuel from the plant.
On March 29, the Hafnia Andromeda, another ship carrying about 348,000 barrels of jet fuel, is expected to dock at the Everglades facility.
The refinery extended its reach to Saudi Arabia this year as well, exporting hundreds of millions of liters to the Middle Eastern nation.
