The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of FCMB Pensions, Christopher Bajowa, told reporters on Monday during a sensitization walk as part of events commemorating the PFA’s 20th anniversary that N200 billion in benefits have been paid to retirees and other beneficiaries who have had Retirement Savings Accounts (RSA) with the company since its founding. The MD stated that despite this significant expenditure, the business is still not there because efforts are focused on implementing digital technology to reach close to clients and provide service quickly and effectively. We continue to be a powerful organization that has an impact on the communities we serve, with over N1.1 trillion in AUM and over N200 billion disbursed to retirees and other beneficiaries,” he stated. In order to increase pension inclusion in the nation, Bajowa also stated that the company would take advantage of chances in Micro Pension, which is now the regulator’s (PenCom) focus area. “We take advantage of this opportunity to start a walk and also promote pensions and pension plans, which we believe represent the next function in terms of growth in the pension industry,” he stated. “As you know, time, micro pension is an area for our regulator and represents a great opportunity to grow inclusion in the pension industry.” The MD stated that the business takes client feedback very seriously.
